How to convert a Facebook video to MP3

Copy the link of the Facebook video, paste it in the box above and press Convert. Our server fetches the public video, extracts the best audio track with FFmpeg and gives you an MP3 (up to 320 kbps) with the title, author and thumbnail already filled in. It takes five to fifteen seconds, works on iPhone, Android and computer, and the files are deleted right after your download.

Good to know about Facebook

Only videos shared publicly can be converted. Videos from private groups, friends-only posts and paid content are not reachable without logging in, and we never ask for your Facebook password.

The MP3 is made from the best audio track Facebook offers – usually AAC at 64 to 192 kbps. Choosing 192 kbps keeps all of it; 320 kbps only makes the file bigger. For editing in Audacity or a video editor, choose WAV.

Facebook to MP3: frequently asked questions

Is the Facebook to MP3 converter free?

Yes, completely: no signup, no watermark, no app to install. You can convert up to 40 links per hour, with videos up to 3 hours long.

Why does my Facebook link not work?

The video must be public. Private accounts, deleted posts, age-restricted or members-only content cannot be fetched. Check that the link opens in a private browser window without logging in, then try again. If Facebook is temporarily limiting requests, wait a few minutes.

Can I convert Facebook videos on my phone?

Yes. Copy the link in the Facebook app, open videos-to-mp3.com in Safari or Chrome and paste it. On Android you can also add the site to your home screen and share videos to it directly from the Facebook app.

Is it legal to download the sound of a Facebook video?

Converting your own videos, or videos whose creator agrees, is fine. The rights to other people’s content stay with them and the terms of Facebook apply: do not republish or sell audio you do not own. See our guide Is it legal to convert videos to MP3?
