About Videos-to-MP3
A simple tool that does one thing well: turning your videos into clean audio files.
Our mission
Videos-to-MP3 was created because extracting the sound of a video should not require installing software, creating an account or putting up with pop-ups. Students, teachers, musicians, podcasters, journalists and families use it every day to keep the audio of lectures, rehearsals, interviews and memories.
How it works
When you drop a file, it is sent over HTTPS to our server, where FFmpeg – the reference open-source multimedia engine – reads the first audio track and encodes it in the format you chose (MP3 with the LAME encoder, AAC, PCM WAV, FLAC, Vorbis or Opus). The result is streamed straight back to your browser and both files are deleted immediately.
Our promises
- Free: no paid plan, no watermark, no hidden limit on audio length.
- Private: no account, files deleted after conversion, no resale of data.
- Honest: we only convert files you already have; we do not download from streaming platforms.
- Accessible: the whole site is available in 6 languages and works on any device.
Editorial guides
Our guides are written and reviewed by the Videos-to-MP3 editorial team, who test every method and command before publishing. When standards or software change, the articles are updated and their date is shown at the top.
